Prayer that leads to intimacy and trust; prayer that believes our Father hears and responds; and prayer that brings restoration, renewed hope and healing.
Key to a loving relationship with God is time invested to know Him – particularly through reading His “living” Word. Knowing and experiencing His personhood, life, wisdom and truth in scriptures leads us to a life of deeper meaning, purpose, peace and hope.
We seek to be in such intimate relationship with God that we rely on, and respond to, His presence more than anything else. We submit our strategic plans, and programs to His leading, and resist reliance on our own understanding as the means of fruitfulness. Like Moses, we will not move forward without His leading - Exodus 33:15.
Knowing who we are, and whose we are in Christ changes everything. His Spirit brings transformation - a new understanding to live a life of hope, meaning and purpose. The King of the universe has invited us into a new identity with one another as His Sons and Daughters - Romans 8:14-15.
Unity is about love - love that calls for humility and honor within community. We identify with Jesus’ heart for unity in the church as He prayed in John 17:21, “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one…” It means sacrifice, but we believe He’s worth it - to be drawn together under one head - Jesus Christ.
